To celebrate Father's Day, we decided to try this play cafe in Sunset Place called Cool-De-Sac. It's a restaurant with a playground, or perhaps a playground with a restaurant (depends on how you see it). Nevertheless, it did hit the birds with one stone - I had fun, and mama and papa were (almost) on an alone date, hehe.
The play cafe is located at the third floor of the Sunset Place Mall and, as its name implies, it is indeed situated at a cul-de-sac. :)

Guess who's excited?

The restaurant is at the center of the space, with seven edutainment areas surrounding it.

The Arts Area.

They have every imaginable art supply. Plus, the kids artwork are proudly displayed, too.

I picked up this crayon and then... left, hehe. This seals it, I'm not an artsy person. Sigh.

Though I did have fun painting silly faces on these paper doll chalkboards.

This is what I'm super interested in.

Colorful legos all around.

Guess what I'm trying to build?

Something that's supposedly a Mario Kart, hehe.

And then, there's a Cool Games area, which I loved!

This computer area alone was enough to make me happy for the whole day.

I totally ignored the Salon (nail polish, makeup, tiaras, and playing dress up doesn't really interest me right now). We'll see in a few years. :)

Although, I did want to play in the tots area but my Mama said I couldn't because this area was reserved for kids 3 years old and below. Aww, I hope I'd just stay a baby forever!

The requisite jungle gym. What do you know, Mama and her camera fit inside it too!

To slide or not to slide? :D

However, out of everything in the play cafe, the train sets were my hands down favorite! :D
Since Mama was hoping to be able to have a nice family lunch to celebrate Father's Day, where aside from me having fun Mama and Papa would actually get to eat real food, too.
Here's what we had from their (real food) menu.

Freshly squeezed lemonade for me.

To go with my penne pasta with butter sauce and parmesan (with bits of brocolli sneaked in there).

Mama had the chicken pesto panini with a mountain of fries.

Papa had the grilled chicken sandwich.

Our dessert: a huge brownie sundae, the best way to celebrate and end the day.
Aside from the cost of food, there's a $14 entrance/playground fee for kids (parents and teens are free). Mama and Papa thinks that the fee is a little steep. I guess, this is supposed to cover the ambiance, the cleanliness, the good service, and the helpfulness of the staff - which were all wonderful.
Anyway, I had fun (and ate all of my yummy pasta!) so it was all good. :)
And as expected, they had a hard time convincing me to leave. It was really a fun place and I hope we can go back again another day.
And by the way, Happy Father's Day Papa! I love you!
