We couldn't let winter pass without visiting the slopes to try snow tubing! So slopes, we came and conquered!
Together with the Lombres, Botor, and Ilagan families, we took a two-hour drive to Hawksnest Ski Resort in Seven Devils, NC. What's nice about living here in Charlotte is, it only takes us three hours, at most, to reach nice places like the beach or theme parks or major cities. This time around, it's the snowy mountains of the Blue Ridge for us. Beautiful!

Although we arrived at the resort at 10am (which, we thought, was early), apparently we were late! And then we remembered that it was the President's Day weekend so a lot of people had the same idea as us. As it turns out, all the snow tubing schedules for the day were sold out already :(
Awww! No tubing for me??
But... that did not stop me from sliding, rolling around, and frolicking in the snow!
Aside from snow tubing, the resort offers skiing and snowboarding slopes with different difficulty levels. But, since none of us knew how to ski, and although Mama wanted to try snowboarding, Papa didn't want her to do it unless he joined her. But, if Papa joined Mama, they'd have to take me along, too. Yeah right.
Well, we decided to save it for later... when I'm big enough!
To get to the top of the mountain, one can either take the green lifts behind us.

But, I really really wanted to go tubing! Look at all the pretty snow tubes behind us. I like the yellow ones!
I suppose, tantrums don't work on my mama.
But I got Papa to do it! Yehey!

I am so glad we went with our friends. It's not as fun without them.
